Notes: The inventory of cable and the locations it runs along are maintained in a spreadsheet by Traffic. When changes are made to the cable network the CAD staff in Geomatics is notified to update the Auto CAD drawing of record. The GIS staff from Geomatics then takes this CAD drawing and converts it to a feature layer so it may be published as a web service to be used in web applications.

Notes: The tiles and the area covered by each in this layer correspond to the AutoCAD mapbooks and their contents maintained by the CAD staff in the Geomatics department. This layer serves as a means to provide links to the corresponding mapbook files on the geomatics server which can be found in the LINK field in the feature layer. This layer only needs updates when the letter code to a tile or the link location of the mapbook file changes.
